Born in Binghamton, New York Samuel Jablon learned to paint and mosaic from his mother Susan Jablon, founder of both Rude and Bold Woman, and Susan Jablon Mosaics. While in Binghamton Samuel studied with avant-garde composer Eric Ross, who is one of Samuel's most influential mentors. Samuel left Binghamton for Boulder, Colorado to study poetry, meditation, and painting at Naropa University. Here he was a studio assistant/apprentice to artist and poet Ana Maria Hernando. Samuel now resides in Brooklyn, New York, where he is an M.F.A. candidate at Brooklyn College.
